In a post created specifically for this challenge, share a photo that means On Top!
On a trip to the Chinese province of Yunnan, we were on top of the world. Or so it felt at the highest point we were allowed to ascend on Jade Dragon Snow Mountain in the Himalayas. The summit is over 18,000 feet high. And as is typical in China, you are never, ever alone no matter how theoretically remote an area might be.

Thank you, Dianna. It was one of those days that you are keenly aware you may never see this again and you better absorb as much as you can.

That’s a long line of people trekking up that mountain! I heard that climbing Mt. Everest is becoming very crowded as well. Did you suffer from altitude sickness?

No, but my Taiwanese friend did. He was sick for two days but eventually recovered. They did give us little oxygen-providing devices which I saw a lot of people using!

This is Beautiful! What I really love is that at this time in your life you are going on an adventure in China and seeing thingd most people will never see. I know a couple who are in their late 70s ane they went on a trip to Morroco. Y’all are inspiring.
