Weekly Photo Challenge: Summer Lovin’

This week, share a photo that says summer lovin’ to you. It might be a favorite pair of sandals you can’t bear to part with, the homemade salsa you made with veggies from your garden, the flowers you planted, or your family frolicking on the beach.

Summer lovin’? To a gardener, that’s easy. Here the lovely Brite Eyes climbing rose scrambles up the tuteurs as the summer sun sets on the horizon.

  1. Except not in my part of the world. Too hot. Plumbago keeps going usually though.

Summer’s great when you live in a cool climate. In a hotter one… And it’s hot for my boys, and it makes Pippa’s arthritis flare up. If I do this challenge I’m going to have to seriously think!

Absolutely beautiful, especially as they find their way up and in and out of the tuteur built by Roger-the roses look purposely arranged –
Anyone would be thrilled to have that in their yard to look at everyday!!
    Such a pretty post
    Thanks for sharing

Hello Barbara, Wonderful photo–it captures the flowers and greenery of summer at the same time suggesting the long summer evenings, which is what I enjoy most when I come back to Ohio for a vacation.

If you could be my gardener I could enjoy my summer even more when at the farm on the patio listening to bob whites, having my supper of fresh veggies complete with homemade fruit cobbler surrounded by my family. See how your garden would make it all complete. Love your photo…..

  10. Oh, the roses of summer! That could be the title of a romantic novel 🙂 Looking forward to seeing (and sniffing) them in person…
